About The Position

Officers will monitor and document all happenings within and around the worksite, exuding a presence that deters and protects against any possible threat to the company, employees, the worksite and its materials. Officers will also serve as a protective barrier between the worksite and outside world, acting as a liaison between site personnel, visiting guests and vendors as well as screening all personnel, using various means and equipment, to deter and detect any attempts at theft.

Requirements

  • Prior security experience with high level of threat detection and situational awareness. (P.I.L.B card preferred but not required)
  • Experience handling, carrying and operating a firearm. (CCW, PILB armed card preferred but not required)
  • Ability to read and write legibly as well as perform basic math
  • Ability to verbally communicate. Must be able to understand verbal commands and requests as well as issue verbal commands clearly
  • Computer literacy. Must be able to monitor and send emails while also keeping a digital activity report
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Exposure to the elements. Duties will sometimes require officers to be posted outside for unspecified amounts of time.
  • Prior experience with high end clientele as well as high value merchandise
  • Clean professional appearance and demeanor
  • No prior felony convictions
  • High School Diploma
  • Prior Armed Security Experience
  • C.C.W or P.I.L.B armed guard card
  • Must be able to regularly lift 70 pounds consistently.
  • Must be able to lift 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Firearms must be securely holstered at all times while on property.
  • Duty belt keepers are to be worn at all times
  • Rounds are not to be chambered on duty weapon while on regular duty
  • Duty weapon must be kept clean and oiled
  • Duty belt is to only have your holstered duty weapon (firearm) and holstered spare magazines
  • Duty carry rounds only are to be carried on your person (no target rounds)
  • Ensure all radios are charged and operational
  • Ensure all materials are accounted for at all times
  • Ensure emergency exits are free of obstacles.
  • All entry points must be closed securely
  • uniforms and appearance must be clean, neat and tidy

Responsibilities

  • Monitor surveillance cameras
  • Deciphering X-Ray imaging
  • Detailed report writing
  • Properly operating and maintaining both walk through and handheld metal detectors
  • Assigning and accounting for work site materials
  • Standing guard to monitor various activities
  • Identifying precious metals
  • Physical searching of property and discarded materials
  • Using threat detection and situational awareness to minimize risk factors
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while not becoming too engaged with site personnel
  • Good attendance, you must be able to be at work, on time, and ready to work at start of shift each day.
  • Issuing commands and maintaining verbal communication as well as via email, and radio communication
