Job Description As a Security Officer - Full-Time Overnight Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support guests and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and/or mall location.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout stores, common areas, parking areas, and exterior walkways to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and delivery areas; assist with access control measures, visitor direction, and/or queue management as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical situations, and/or fire and weather alarms, and request assistance from emergency responders when appropriate.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity per site requirements, and communicate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
