Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a higher-education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Handcuffs/Pepper Spray/Baton is preferred.
Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, maintenance hazards, and/or policy violations; document observations and incidents in written reports and daily activity logs.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and/or evacuation direction as required by site procedures.
Support campus operations by providing directions and information, assisting with lost and found inquiries, and/or coordinating with local law enforcement and campus personnel when escalation is needed.
