Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Gatehouse in Deer Park, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures for personnel and vehicles entering or leaving the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Monitor and verify identification credentials in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
Follow all location-specific guidelines and protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments, including adherence to personal protective equipment requirements when applicable.
Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support overall security-related objectives at the location.
