Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Control Gatehouse in Deer Park, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential is required.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures for personnel and vehicles entering or leaving the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Monitor and verify identification credentials in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by responding to inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management and/or site representatives.
  • Follow all location-specific guidelines and protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments, including adherence to personal protective equipment requirements when applicable.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support overall security-related objectives at the location.
