Good Samaritan University Hospital is a 537- bed (including 100 nursing home beds) teaching hospital and a member of Catholic Health. With almost 900 physicians on staff, and a level II Trauma Center, we care for well over 100,000 patients annually across the south shore of Long Island. The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling the Hospital and the grounds. He monitors lighting, illegal parking and reviews conditions of the parking fields, curbing and sidewalks. He is regularly assigned to fixed posts in the Emergency Department, Main Lobby and Baxter Lobby. He also performs other related duties and task as may be assigned or required. He monitors visitors in the Hospital. He also writes incident reports as required. He also ensures the safety of all staff, visitors and patients in the Hospital. He enforces all the security regulations. He is also part of the Hospital Emergency Management Response Team.
