About The Position

Security Officer, Upper Chesapeake Aberdeen, PRN, varies As Needed & Weekend and Holidays JOB SUMMARY: Interacts with Behavioral Patients to decrease the emotional, physical and mental stress levels of a situation using verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques and if necessary, utilizing Crisis Prevention Institute physical techniques to bring the aggressive Patient under control for further therapeutic clinical intervention.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Active BLS certification is required within 90-days of hire.
• Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret security reports.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a variety of situations.
• Must be able to interpret a range of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
• Must be able to work well under pressure during emergency situations.
• Must possess outstanding service excellence skills.
• Must be able to intervene with physically aggressive individuals.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of related experience (military, security, law enforcement, etc.) is preferred.
