Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in SAINT HELENA, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a renowned educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining approachable and visible to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post. You will provide exceptional customer service, respond to situations as they arise, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation, making a positive impact on the campus community every day.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate and collaborate with staff, students, and visitors to support a secure environment.
  • Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Assist with access control and visitor management as directed by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities and provide guidance to individuals as needed during incidents.
