Requirements

18 years of age or older.
High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Understands the nature of customer service and interactions with the public.
Must have Day or Swing shift availability.
Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
Must be able to interact with and greet site visitors, candidates, truck drivers, client employees, or client in a positive manner, while maintaining excellent customer service.
Intermediate computer/technology skills needed to ensure completion of daily activity reports, and logs via handheld devices, and ability to report alarms via telephone.
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to assist vendors, truck drivers, public, client, Site Supervisors, and Office Management.
Must be open to communication and feedback from client, Site Supervisor and Office Management.
Must be able to adhere to 15 minute, and lunch breaks.
Must be able to work in a team environment to ensure site/organizational goals are achieved daily.
Must be able to remain organized and professional.
Must be able to learn and adhere to security operations.
Must provide high quality customer service in-person, via radio, and over the telephone.
Must have a personal vehicle and a Colorado Driver’s License - site is not accessible by public transportation.
Must be able to obtain Pueblo Guard Card license and maintain it every year.
Must be able to attend in-person interview, and in-person orientation in Colorado Springs if hired for the Pueblo site.

Responsibilities

Report alarms in accordance with client requirements.
Greet candidates, client employee’s, vendors, truck drivers, client, emergency services and aid as needed.
Conduct internal/external patrol when needed to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, blocked ingress and egress, mechanical problems, unauthorized persons, inspects grounds using appropriate equipment and protective gear.
Monitor entrance/exits and provide guidance to site visitors, issue visitor badges and/or vendors, obtain badges upon exit.
Complete daily activity (DAR), incident reports and logs via Securitas and client systems.
Provide an atmosphere in which all truck drivers, candidates, site visitors, client employees, client, and Management know their needs are being met.
Present a good image to client, public, and Management.
Operates in a calm manner and directs persons who cause disruption to leave property.
Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to emergency services.
Observes and reports incidents or suspicious activity to client, Company Management, or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the site.
Acts to ensure that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accord with client standards.
Carries out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
