About The Position

As a Security Officer - Day Shift in Benton Harbor, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate incoming and outgoing communications for the site, including radio, telephone, and electronic systems, to support security-related operations.
  • Dispatch Allied Universal personnel to designated areas within the manufacturing and industrial location as needed, based on incidents or requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, incidents, and activities in dispatch logs and/or electronic systems.
  • Assist in managing access control by verifying credentials and directing visitors or contractors to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing support to on-site teams.
  • Communicate important information and updates to Allied Universal personnel and/or site management as required.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter unauthorized activities within the location.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to coordinate emergency response activities when appropriate.
