As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and grounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist tenants and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will document observations, respond to incidents, and coordinate with site contacts and local responders as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, building corridors, loading dock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and property-related incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site management and/or public services when needed.
  • Complete timely reports for incidents, observations, and patrol activities, including documenting hazards, unauthorized access attempts, and policy violations.
  • Provide directions and assistance to guests and contractors, verify credentials when required, and communicate professionally with building management and Allied Universal leadership.
