As a Security Officer Full Time Afternoons in Whippany, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, common areas, restricted areas, and perimeter points, noting conditions that could require follow-up.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support security-related operations at a financial services location by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directional needs, and communicating clearly with staff and visitors regarding site protocols.
