As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth operations by conducting security-related screening at entry points, verifying credentials, and monitoring assigned areas for unusual activity. You will complete routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and provide clear, respectful communication with team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer Service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points using approved screening methods and equipment, and verify identification and authorization prior to granting access.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound flow at docks and checkpoints, observe for prohibited items and/or suspicious activity, and help to deter unauthorized access or removal of property.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
