About The Position
Whitman Family Development is a family-owned real estate company specializing in high-end retail, management, and leasing, owning and operating Bal Harbour Shops. Bal Harbour Shops is a historic luxury shopping destination, a global industry leader known for its curated retail and strong connections with tenants and customers. The company is seeking a full-time security officer for Bal Harbour Shops, located on Miami Beach. This role involves working directly for the business owners. The primary duties include patrolling the shopping center facility, assisting customers, tenants, and vendors where appropriate, and observing, investigating, reporting, documenting, and logging incidents per department policy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Must have strong English oral and writing skills
- Must present a calm and professional demeanor
- Position requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time in outdoor, covered conditions
- Must also have the ability to speak, hear, bend, balance, squat, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 50 lbs
- Florida Class "D" Security License, required
- Valid Driver’s License, required
Nice To Haves
- bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Patrol shopping center.
- Assist customers, tenants, and vendors where appropriate.
- Observe, investigate, report, document and log incidents.
- Seek out and report on safety hazards, incidents, and to assist and orient center stake holders.
