About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility - Overnight Shift in Palm Harbor, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a professional environment, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity and care.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while documenting observations and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including hallways, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
Help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence and addressing issues through established procedures.
Support access control and visitor management functions by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials when required, and communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns.
