Security Officer
About The Position

We are seeking Security Officers to join our team at JFK Terminal 4, JFKIAT. Position Summary In this role, you will maintain a safe and secure environment, enforce access control procedures, protect terminal property, and support passenger and employee safety. Officers must remain vigilant, uphold post integrity, and provide professional customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of access control and screening required, airport or terminal security experience preferred
- Valid New York State Security Guard License
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- First Aid, CPR/AED, and Fire Guard certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-traffic, customer interfacing environment
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Bend, stoop, and reach as needed
- Lift and carry up to 30 lbs unassisted
Responsibilities
- Monitor areas for suspicious activity, theft, or unsafe conditions
- Conduct routine and random security inspections
- Respond quickly to alarms and incidents
- Assist with crowd control and keep pathways clear
- Report safety, security, or maintenance concerns
- Maintain professional appearance and communication standards
- Follow all JFKIAT procedures and SOPs
