About The Position

As a Security Officer – Chemical Site Patrol in Newell, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter of the chemical or petrochemical location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the facility.
Collaborate with site personnel and visitors to address questions and/or concerns related to access and security-related protocols.
Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
Remain alert to changing environmental conditions and adapt patrol routes as needed to support the security-related needs of the location.
