As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location supporting community services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide clear communication and customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common spaces, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and contacting site leadership and/or public emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity or policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional communication.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
