As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet drivers, employees, and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document activity to support smooth operations. You will remain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to concerns with care and professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, checking delivery and appointment information, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining access logs and/or electronic records.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems, report irregular activity, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yard areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft, and/or damage.
  • Coordinate with site leadership and local emergency responders as needed, prepare incident reports, and communicate shift activity through clear written and verbal pass-downs.
