As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural arts venue, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to reduce security-related incidents during rehearsals, performances, and guest arrivals. You will communicate clearly, assist patrons and staff with directions and questions, and document concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21 or more years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, venue-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a performing arts and cultural venue.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces and exterior perimeter areas including entrances, lobbies, corridors, and back-of-house areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening and credential checks, directing patrons to appropriate lines, seating areas, and venue resources while supporting orderly entry and exit during event start and end times.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local first responders as needed and supporting evacuations and/or shelter-in-place procedures when directed.
  • Complete patrol logs and incident reports, document unusual activity, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts using approved reporting methods.
