About The Position

Security Officers are responsible for patrolling and monitoring Lake Winnepesaukah's property to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and assets. This role involves preventing fire, theft, vandalism, injury, illegal activity, and enforcing company policies and procedures. Security Officers also assist with parking and traffic control, guest services, and other security-related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18+ years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with guests, employees, supervisors, and vendors.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Quick and effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in stressful or volatile situations.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong observational skills to identify and respond to unusual situations.
  • Ability to complete written reports legibly and accurately.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and/or walk for up to 16 hours, including walking quickly up to one mile.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, or move equipment and objects up to 40 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, stretching, and reaching.
  • Good visual and auditory acuity to observe surroundings and respond appropriately.
  • Ability to operate safely in noisy environments and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate clearly for instruction and reporting purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned areas of the park and additional property, observing for potential safety hazards, theft, vandalism, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Provide clear verbal instructions to guests and employees in security, parking, and patrol areas.
  • Enforce park rules, state and local laws, and company policies, escalating incidents to the Security Supervisor as necessary.
  • Assist guests with directions, lost individuals, and other needs.
  • Direct traffic in parking areas and assist employees with vehicle-related issues.
  • Escort terminated employees or disruptive guests from the premises when requested by Human Resources.
  • Monitor entrances and exits for employees, visitors, and vendors, directing them appropriately.
  • Escort Front Gate Cashiers, Food Associates, and Game Associates when transporting cash throughout the park.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Assist First Aid and Safety teams as needed.
  • Remain focused on duties while managing interruptions from guests or employees.
  • Promote and maintain safe work practices at all times.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Adhere to all company, state, and federal safety standards and regulations.
