About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol Scout in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic cultural institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, support security-related operations, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, with responsibilities that include mobile patrol activity to help identify and address concerns. Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a public cultural location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout outdoor grounds, walkways, gathering areas, entrances, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related issues.
Monitor visitor activity and site conditions, assist with access control practices where applicable, and communicate clearly with local authorities, site contacts, and/or Allied Universal leadership during routine and unusual situations.
Support the preservation of a welcoming environment by addressing questions, giving directions, and helping with crowd observation during daily operations, programs, and/or special events.
