Security Officer Full Time Overnight
About The Position
As a Security Officer Full Time Overnight in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support store teams and guests with clear communication, quick reporting, and helpful customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including suspected shoplifting, disputes, medical calls, and/or property damage, and request assistance from management and/or public responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, stock corridors, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity using patrol presence and available systems such as CCTV and alarm panels, reporting irregular conditions per post orders.
- Complete routine documentation such as daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate notable events to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support loss prevention and store operations as directed.
