As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol Team in NEW YORK, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support order at the location by following post instructions, communicating with supervisors and/or local authorities when needed, and completing required reports and logs.
