About The Position

As a Security Officer - Overnight Experience Required in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential care location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

• Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential care location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control questions, visitor direction, and notifying management and/or emergency services as required by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns for reporting.
• Monitor entry and exit points, check doors and gates for proper closure, and verify visitor authorization according to site procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate key observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
