As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and a customer-first approach, while documenting observations using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, wayfinding, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations per site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift documentation, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
