About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for an oil refinery in North Salt Lake, UT. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will have the flexibility to build your own schedule using the Claim a Shift platform. The position is for an unarmed patrol officer who will conduct routine patrols, maintain visibility to deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication. You will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach, ensuring a professional and reliable presence at the site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns that should be reported.
• Monitor entrances, gates, and/or restricted areas, document daily activities and incidents, and communicate observed hazards, maintenance issues, and other security-related matters to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
