As a Part-Time Security Officer in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic technology location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, and innovation while working as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access, and report access concerns, maintenance issues, or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
  • Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and providing clear directions and assistance to staff and guests.
