Security Officer - First Shift

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activities, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate with professionalism, and contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
- Support Allied Universal team operations by completing assigned reports, following post orders, and maintaining professional interactions in a fast-paced business environment.
