As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Agent in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a public sector educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support orderly operations for students, staff, and authorized guests.
• Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations observed during patrols and interactions, following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
