Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Glen Allen, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and deliver outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including lobbies, offices, corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity, following visitor management and identification procedures and documenting observations.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate shift updates, and support security-related operations in varying working environments and conditions by client site.
