Job Description As a Security Officer - Full Time Rounds in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and patients, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of entrances, waiting areas, corridors, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity through rounds and available systems, reporting hazards, unusual conditions, and policy concerns to the appropriate site contact.
• Complete required documentation such as shift reports and incident reports, communicate post orders during shift handoff, and support investigations as requested by site leadership and/or Allied Universal.
