About The Position

Security Officer Location: Mercy Hospital - A Member of Catholic Health Join Mercy Hospital, part of the Catholic Health system, and play a key role in providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• NYS Security Guard License or Active Duty Law Enforcement required
• Valid NYS Driver's License required
• BLS & AED Certification required
• One year of security experience preferred (hospital setting a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Responding promptly to emergencies and security incidents
• Controlling facility access and ensuring only authorized personnel enter
• Conducting regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas
• Assisting with fire safety inspections and staff education
• Providing courteous support and assistance to patients, staff, and visitors
• Preparing clear and timely incident reports
