About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidate must have 1-2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must possess intermediate PC skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will, at the direction of Security Management, relay instructions to other Security Officers.
  • Candidate must understand the importance of guest safety.
  • Candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with the public.
  • Candidate must be professional and courteous at all times to both Security Officers and the public.
  • Candidate may provide training to officers.
  • Candidate ensures compliance with all rules and regulations of the Indiana Gaming Commission, the standard operating procedures of the property and all other applicable laws.
  • Candidate will assist with the destruction of used cards and dice from table games.
  • Candidate will be responsible for escorting fills, credits, and documents to and from the cage and pit.
  • Candidate may assist with escorting the casino drop team.
  • Candidate may assist with identifying patrons as they enter the casino to prevent underage patrons from obtaining access to the gaming floor.
  • Candidate may act as the shift dispatcher and will help coordinate the activity of the on duty security officers on the property.
  • Candidate may be assigned to drive a property vehicle or shuttle as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
