This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by providing a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors and staff. The role involves performing pro-active patrol duties, responding to emergency alarms and duress situations, and working with others to maintain a safe and secure environment. The position requires ensuring that all hospital security and safety policies and procedures are followed, preparing accurate reports and daily logs of security and safety activities, and monitoring after hours access, including CCTV cameras. The individual will report and monitor all security and safety issues, provide leadership to others as needed, and act as charge person in the absence of Supervisor or Lead. Following Mercy's safety guidelines and promptly reporting any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents, and injuries is essential.
