About The Position
The Resort Security Officer at Hoover Dam Lodge plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the resort environment. Reporting directly to the Resort Security Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring the protection of employees, guests, and company assets. The officer will be involved in various security operations, including access control, alarm system management, and conducting identification checks. The role requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities that include responding to incidents, managing conflicts, and providing excellent customer service to both guests and staff. The officer must be prepared to handle a variety of situations, from minor disturbances to serious emergencies, and must be equipped with the necessary skills to manage these effectively. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Resort Security Officer will be expected to engage in ongoing training and development to stay current with security protocols and procedures. This includes understanding basic investigative techniques, evidence handling, and emergency response procedures. The position demands a high level of critical thinking, organization, and communication skills, as the officer will often need to prioritize tasks and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations. The ability to work flexible hours and varying shifts is essential, as the needs of the business may dictate changes in scheduling. Physical stamina is also required, as the officer will be on their feet for extended periods and may need to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
