About The Position

Perform hotel security duties and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and the property as well as the property's assets.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of security and safety experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fluent in English.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to carry, lift, push, and/or pull items weighing up to 50-100 lbs.
• Frequent standing, moving about the facility, and handling objects and equipment.
• Communication skills for interacting with guests and employees.
• Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements, fire codes, and life safety codes.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in safety and training.
• Licensed as a Security Officer.
• Certified CPR and First Aid instructor.
• Training in law enforcement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection and ensure compliance of hotel security & safety requirements and procedures.
• Patrolling & inspecting assigned areas including public areas, meeting rooms, entrances, and outside building and grounds.
• Monitoring surveillance cameras and checking areas for unauthorized persons or vehicles.
• Coordinating towing of vehicles, unlocking doors, and addressing fire and safety hazards.
• Maintaining security procedures and audit/dept. logs including lost and found, storing guest's valuables, and key control.
• Ensuring all guest room doors are secured and assisting guests with room access.
• Escorting staff and guests to cars if requested.
• Inspecting purses, packages, or bags of employees as designated by management.
• Investigating loss and safety incidents involving guests and employees.
• Administering CPR on guests or staff members as required.
• Completing documented reports in accordance with company and hotel policies.
• Assisting in training employees on current safety and security issues.
• Responding courteously and promptly to all guest-related incidents and requests.
• Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication with hotel staff.
