About The Position

The Security Officer at Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the casino's assets, personnel, guests, and visitors during their assigned shift. This role involves patrolling the premises, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to deter potential issues. The officer will also prepare reports, cooperate with law enforcement, and provide first aid when necessary, all while adhering to the casino's policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with no arrests in the past year except minor traffic violations.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record and insurable for driving.
  • Six months of security experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • No felony, theft, or stealing convictions.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
  • Knowledge of TOGE's Internal Controls (IC's) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
  • Knowledge of safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices, and public/guest service skills in a casino environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

  • Protect TOGE assets and ensure safety operations for the casino during the entire shift.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including patrol logs.
  • Patrol the casino premises, including hotel, entertainment venues, lobbies, corridors, bars, and parking areas.
  • Remove unauthorized persons from the parking area as necessary.
  • Confer with the on-duty Security Supervisor/Lead Security Officer on any infringements or situations worthy of investigation.
  • Circulate amongst patrons to ensure their safety by being visible.
  • Cooperate with Law Enforcement Agencies in apprehending individuals involved in criminal activity.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures in the casino areas.
  • Provide information and directions to guests.
  • Administer first aid/CPR until advanced care arrives.
  • Ensure equipment and uniforms are clean and in working order.
  • Maintain accurate departmental daily records.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures and TOGE Policies & Procedures manual.
  • Investigate reports of accidents and injuries at the casino and document findings to the on-duty Security Supervisor/Lead Security Officer or Risk and Safety Manager.
  • Provide escorts for guests and personnel as needed.
  • Escort money exchanges, fills, credits, and jackpots to different areas within the casino.
  • Maintain good communication with co-workers and foster a positive work environment.
  • Contribute to team efforts and accomplish related results as required.
  • May be assigned to work in the Security Dispatch Center at any time.
  • Perform outstanding internal and external guest service by interacting and assisting guests and co-workers.
