About The Position

As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screening Agent in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by conducting screening at key entry points, managing access procedures, and maintaining a visible presence that helps reduce incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and visitors, document activity, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to facility personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals entering controlled areas by verifying identification, confirming authorization, and directing visitors and/or contractors according to site entry requirements.
  • Conduct screening of bags, parcels, and other items using approved methods and available equipment while following chain-of-custody and reporting procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required and completing required documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, loading and receiving areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
