Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in Manassas, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Screener at a financial institution location, you will welcome employees and visitors while supporting security-related entry screening. You will monitor access points, screen items and deliveries, maintain post logs using a computer or tablet, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possess a college degree.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Data Center Security Experience Preferred (2 years)
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen and verify authorized entry by checking identification, managing visitor sign-in, and monitoring entry points in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Complete security-related reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and/or daily activity reports and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
