About The Position

As a Security Officer - X-Ray Lobby Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as a Screener, helping support smooth operations through security-related screening and access control. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor activity, and communicate clearly with team members and visitors while documenting observations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen people and belongings at entry points using approved screening methods, verify identification and authorization, and help to control access to restricted areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems, document irregular activity, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, loading areas, and perimeter, and complete required logs and reports.
