About The Position

As a Security Officer - X-Ray Checkpoint Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, conduct screening activities, and complete security-related checks that support smooth daily operations. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and document observations using site technology. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors and/or drivers at designated entry points by checking identification, managing visitor logs, issuing badges and following authorized screening protocols for people and property.
• Control access to warehouse, dock and yard areas by verifying appointments, delivery documentation and/or authorized access lists and coordinating with site personnel as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including building interior, loading areas and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and completing routine reports.
