Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, greeting students, staff, visitors, and vendors, and assisting with entry and check-in processes.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, maintaining visitor records, issuing temporary credentials when appropriate, and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities according to location guidelines.
  • Answer phones, manage the reception area, and communicate clearly with school personnel, parents, visitors, and/or emergency responders regarding security-related concerns.
  • Support daily front desk operations by observing lobby activity, helping to deter unauthorized access, and documenting security-related events, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns.
