As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet and assist employees and visitors, respond to calls for service, and document observations using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate areas according to site guidelines.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or other security-related systems when assigned, and complete detailed reports on patrol observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
