As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site personnel, document observations, and respond to concerns with a customer-service mindset. Requirements

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farm and/or loading areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points, including verifying authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol observations, access activity, alarms, and/or unusual conditions, and communicate updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
