As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and associates, respond to questions and concerns with clear communication, and document observations and activity. This post requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with the Allied Universal driver policy, supporting mobile patrol coverage when needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, suspicious activity, and/or property damage; notify management and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of sales floors, corridors, entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, loitering, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Monitor and support access control by observing entry and exit activity, addressing policy violations as directed, and assisting with crowd flow during peak shopping periods and/or special events.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations in written reports and communicate key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership during shift transitions.
