About The Position

As a Security Officer in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and authorizations for individuals entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious circumstances, property damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily events as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and orderly environment at the location.
