Job Description As a Security Officer - Access Monitoring in Sterling Heights, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor entrances and exits, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Your presence will contribute to a secure atmosphere, while you engage with employees and visitors in a professional manner. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and maintain a visible presence.
Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or concerns according to company and client protocols.
Collaborate with on-site teams and communicate important information to Allied Universal management as required.
Support the maintenance of order and help to deter disruptive behavior within the location.
