About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Screener in Flower Mound, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will help support daily operations by greeting visitors, conducting entry screening, checking credentials, and guiding guests through access procedures. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and document security-related activity while supporting patrol teams as needed. Bring an agile, reliable, and innovative mindset, with teamwork, care, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors for authorized entry by verifying credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Conduct security-related screening of persons, bags, packages, and deliveries using site-approved methods and equipment, documenting exceptions and escalating concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
