As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badge access, and guide guests through entry procedures. You will monitor key access points, document incidents, and communicate updates to site teams while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for a technology campus or data-focused location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials, processing visitor check-in and check-out, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing guests to the proper destinations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, alarms, and CCTV systems where applicable, and document unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy concerns in logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, parking areas, and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or loitering.
