About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in Romeoville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a strong, visible presence. You will interact with people throughout the facility, providing excellent customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering the logistics and distribution location according to site protocols to help to deter unauthorized access.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and delivery personnel while maintaining a visible presence at screening points.
Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following site-specific procedures.
